Sapienza.media Conferences: "Maximizing Agribusiness Profitability" Series – Strategic Communication Platforms for the Agricultural Ecosystem

Today, every player in the Ukrainian agribusiness market, aiming to grow their business and achieve stable profits, is thinking about implementing their own business ideas and finding reliable partners and clients. Understanding that each market participant has different roles and interests, new ideas and products emerge at the intersection of these interests. Sapienza, as an agri-media agency, became a systematic integrator of all participants in the agrarian ecosystem, launching a series of conferences called "Increasing Profits in Agribusiness" in 2019.

The conferences bring together agri-experts and practitioners who present modern tools and working cases to increase agribusiness profitability. The topics include practical questions on finding niches, introducing innovative technologies, and attracting financial resources. On average, each Sapienza.Media conference gathers between 120 and 150 participants, and the presentations of the speakers spark lively interest among the audience.
The first conference in this cycle took place on October 29, 2019, at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv, focusing on financial tools, IT solutions for agribusiness, and agri-marketing instruments.

On February 19, 2020, during the AgroSpring exhibition at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv, the International Agribusiness Conference titled "Increasing Profits in International Trade" was held. Organized by Sapienza, it was conducted in collaboration with Olga Trofimtseva, an expert on external markets and Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine (2019). The conference addressed the intricacies of entering foreign markets, new strategies, research, technology, branding, global economic challenges for producers, and lessons from the best exporting companies, among other topics.

Despite the challenges of 2020, particularly the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sapienza.Media found opportunities to continue its work of connecting Ukrainian agribusiness participants. On March 26, 2020, Sapienza.Media held a webinar titled "How COVID-19 and Quarantine Are Changing Agribusiness Rules", where participants learned about the consequences of the pandemic for both domestic and international agriproduct markets, and how farmers, entrepreneurs, and exporters should act under the new circumstances.

On April 27, 2020, Kateryna Zvierieva, founder of Sapienza, and Valeriy Yakovenko, co-founder of Drone.ua, discussed new technological solutions, innovations, robotics, automation in farming, and ecological thinking during the "Urban Farmers – The Future of Today" webinar.

Is growing sweet corn in Ukraine a profitable business option? What is the profitability of this crop? What seeds are available, and how does it differ from regular grain corn? These and other questions were answered by experts from the Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Selection during the Sapienza.Media webinar "Sweet Corn – A Profitable Niche for Ukrainian Agribusiness", held on August 13, 2020.

On October 28, 2020, at the InterAGRO 2020 exhibition, the third conference in the "Increasing Profits in Agribusiness" series titled "Niches. Technologies. Investments" was organized by Sapienza.Media. The event brought together agri-market analysts, investment experts, professional producers, farmers, exporters, and representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development to discuss niche products, the best craft industries for investment, and technologies for maximizing yields.

What are the prospects for Ukrainian-Canadian relations in the agricultural sector, and what financial solutions can Canadian agribusiness offer to Ukrainian companies? Participants could learn about this during the International Canada-Ukraine Online Conference, held on November 5, 2020, with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine and Sapienza.Media.

The opportunities for Ukrainian fruit and vegetable producers in the Chinese market were the focus of the "Fruit and Vegetable Exports to China: Barriers and Opportunities for Ukrainian Producers" online discussion on December 16, organized by Sapienza in collaboration with the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association.

On February 16, 2021, during the AgroSpring exhibition in Kyiv, Sapienza.Media held the IV International Trading Platform "Innovations. Technologies. Finance.", which united agricultural company leaders, farmers, FAO experts, international institution representatives, investors, and agricultural technology experts.

Today, the Sapienza.Media team is preparing for the upcoming International Conference "From Local to Global: Superfoods, Technologies, Markets", scheduled for October 27 in Kyiv.
